Well, it’s happening. We’re moving West. In about 27 days, we will be on our way to the beautiful Pacific Northwest to put down new roots. It’s incredibly bittersweet… Nashville has been “home” for 9 years for me and almost 12 years for Aaron. Nashville is where I became more of who I am, where I worked and dreamed, where I became a wife and a mother. There are so many people here that I love and will miss. But I’m ridiculously excited to be moving to one of the most gorgeous states I’ve ever visited, even if I haven’t been to our new hometown yet. I’m looking forward to seeing how God continues to provide for this journey He has mapped out for us, because up to now the ride has been nothing short of amazing (although also quite scary, if I’m honest). The past couple of months have been just the beginning of the adventure.
All the while, I’m writing the manuscript of my first book, and will be posting more about that in the coming days. Somehow I will need to continue writing in the midst of this life change.
If you think of me, pray for me. Pray for Aaron, and pray for our son (he will turn 1 year old next month). This is going to be a majorly huge transition for all of us–new state, new culture, new people, new work, new house… lots of newness.
Jesus the Anointed One is always the same: yesterday, today, and forever.
